First Term 2024/2025 Session

As-salaam alaikum Waramatullah Wabarakatu. In the name of Allah, the Gracious the Merciful. Having testified in the strongest term to the unitary existence of Allah - Lord of Majesty and the Prophethood of Muhammad(s), we acknowledge the grace, mercy and protection of Allah on all stakeholders of our entire LAMIS community. We urge HIM for the continuity of such grace, mercy and protection on all of us at all times. Dear Parents/ Guardians, the term commenced on Monday 9th September and ending today Friday 13 December,2024. Relocation of our Junior Section : Historically, the Junior section of our college was relocated to a new site at Kunle Taiwo Street, Jankara - Ijaiye on Monday 23 September, 2024. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring our transition was smooth and successful. All necessary infrastructure has been provided at the site and learning going on smoothly. The Cultural day celebration : In line with the academic calendar of the state government, we celebrated the Cultural Day on 7 November, 2024 in accordance with lslamic practices. We extolled the virtues embedded in our cultural heritage. The Open day programme : This was held on Wednesday 14 November, 2024. As usual, this programme afforded the parents and guardians opportunity to assess the performance of their children and have interactive discussions with their teachers. Comments of all parents were all noted and treated . The school all inclusive symposium : In order to further promote academic, moral uprightness and cordial relationship between the home and the school, the school organised a well packaged and delivered symposium titled “Managing the Parents, Teachers and Staff for sustainable development”. The program came up on Saturday 23 November, 2024. We appreciate the presence of all attendees. Lagos state and National BECE : All hands are on deck to repeat the outstanding results we had last year. Intensive teaching and learning processes are being intensified. We hope to have collaborative meeting with the parents/ guardians of the JS3 students soon Common Entrance Class: This class will commence on 6th January, 2025. It is mandatory for pupils enrolling for the Lagos State Common Entrance Examination to attend this class. The fee for the class is N10,000. There will also be a special class every Saturday fortnight to prepare pupils for their respective entrance examinations. The SS3 students extension classes : The morning and afternoon extension classes organized for them are being well pursued . This programme aimed at achieving the following: - Refreshing their memories on all they have been taught - Covering more grounds on what they need to know - Evaluating and re-evaluating their level of preparedness for the final examinations Outstanding performance : Recently, precisely, Saturday 9 December 2024, our college participated in the Y2024 INSURANCE SIMPLIFIED QUIZ TEENAGERS FIESTA PROGRAMME organised by INSURANCE SIMPLIFIED LIMITED - The quiz was for SS1and SS2 students. Allah - Lord of Majesty - blessed our efforts with 1st position in the two categories. More of this in sha Allah. Punctuality : Dear Parents/Guardians, we commend the punctuality of some of our students at school while many are still coming late or joining the assembly. The punctual students are to be commended on resumption for the second term while we plead for strict monitoring of the punctuality of others. Our morning assembly is well packaged for academic, moral and spiritual advancement. Abacus Mental Class: The Abacus Class will be organizing a competition tagged “Speed Maths National Competition 2025.” This event will hold on 17th May 2025 at Arcade Hall, LASU, Lagos State. A registration fee of N22,500 will be charged for each pupil. Second term begins on Monday 6th January, 2025. School fees: The school has reviewed the school fees upward. SECOND TERM 2023/2024 SESSION

As-salam alaikum waramatullah wabarakatuhu. All glory and adoration go to Allah (SWT), the Beneficient, the Merciful, who has seen us through another term in the life of Lagos Muslim International School. We also shower praises on our role model prophet Muhammed (SAW). May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him, his household, his companionsand Muslims. 1. THE SCHOOL PORTAL PAGE The Management of Lagos Muslim International School wishes to inform our esteemed parents and guardians that a new portal has been launched for the school. The School portal page* is www.lamisschool.org The portal will among others be used by the school to: 1. Prepare and present the results of all the periodic assessments and examinations conducted for our pupils and students to the parents. 2. Conduct Computer Based Tests and examinations 3. Conduct online classes for students 4. Facilitate eParenting , which include constant reminders to the parents on the activities of the school and the students. In order to have access to the portal, every parent will be given a PIN that is automatically generated on the platform. This PIN shall be paid for by the parents on termly basis and it would be included in the bill for 2nd term 2023/ 2024 session. 5. The termly payment of PIN will be one thousand five hundred naira (1,500). Each parents/guardians will pay the sum of three thousand naira (#3,000) for the first and second term of the 2023/2024 academic session. 6. Parents/guardian should note that holiday assignment will be given to pupils and students on the school portal page. The assignment must be done in the note book of that particular subject which would be submitted on resumption. 2. IST TERM CBT EXAMINATION: We are glad to inform the parents that the objective tests of the 1st term examination for the senior secondary school students were written with the CBT platform on the school portal. It gave the students the opportunity of having their scores immediately the examinations were concluded. This platform will be deployed to all Junior Secondary school and primary school classes immediately all arrangements are concluded. The preparatory section of the school had a fun-filled activities during the term. They had literacy day, speech day, colour day, Abaya/jalbab day, cultural day. They learnt a lot from the different activities and these lessons will be a reference point for them for a long time. 2. OPEN DAY: The termly open day of the session was held on Thursday 2nd November, 2023 for both schools. It was well attended by parents/guardians. While some parents commended the teacher’ work, others teachers were encouraged to do more. 4. SPEECH DAY: The pupils’ speech day was held on Wednesday 1st November, 2023. Pupils were given different topics to speak on. It was an eye opening presentations whereby the pupils displayed their oratory skills. The programme had to extend to the next day because some pupils could not present before closing on that day. 5. PUPILS’ ISLAMIC FORUM: The pupils’ Islamic forum was spiced up with arrays of educative topics that will give them a vintage understanding of their deen. It is hoped that the lessons learnt from these topics would aid the pupils to be much more conscious of the religion. 6. HAIRSTYLE: It is imperative that parents/guardian MUST make the appropriate hairstyles for their female children/wards. This is hairstyles for next term. Enrollment, Activities &achievements

LAMIS is a mixed school and offers admission into Pre-School, Primary and College. LAMIS operates Western and Islamic curriculum. Our pupils and students are expected to memorize specific portions of the Quran at their point of exit (Primary, Junior or Senior Secondary) based on their levels. This is to be achieved along with Primary School Leaving Examination, Junior Secondary Certificate and Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations. Therefore, the school is approved by; - Lagos State Ministry of Education(Office of Education, Quality Assurance), - WAEC and - NECO (BECE & SSCE)
